I did a quick search for the customary rumours thread and found nothing?
Any links for what to expect in 2014 etc.
Top of my agenda is what will the imperials be getting to face the Tantive et al.

Well, rumor is the following for 2014:
Imperial Aces ~March
Tantiv IV and Blockade Runner ~Q2
Wave 4 announcement ~Q2
Wave 4 Release ~Q4
Remember, add 3 months into all release announcements from FFG.
Tantive IV and the Transport are on pre-order at Amazon for 22nd February 2014.
The Outrider is a very likely ship that many of us expect to see announced fairly soon. Not only will that give the rebels a 2nd large-scale ship to match the Empire's 2, but it was also in Episode 4, so it's hard canon.

You have to figure at least 1 of these will be released at GenCon.
The only rumor I've heard is that rumors tend to be really wrong (especially about timelines for this game).
The Lambda Shuttle, TIE Bomber and A-Wing are all going to be reprinted with Maarek Stele as a pilot.
Maarek Steele in a A wing? Awesome!
Tantive IV and the Transport are on pre-order at Amazon for 22nd February 2014.
That's wishful thinking

Maarek Stele in all the ships.

"Never make a statement without first checking your facts" Me not you by the way.
Check it out yourself; just scroll down:
The A-Wing is getting a new ship specific upgrade that will reduce its attack to one attack dice. This is largely in response to players complaining that the A-Wing is too powerful and its appearing in every rebel squad.

I fear I must point out the bright orange text at the top of those pages saying "Usually dispatched in 1 to 3 months". So even best case scenario, these product pages are telling you end of March. Or roughly Q2 of this year.
No fear needed. I saw it too.
But at least it gives a date and ETA. Better than nothing.
Whatever happened with that "Iconic Wave" Imperial capital ship (which I cannot recall the name of right now), did that ever get debunked? I know it was taken off Wookieepedia.

Considering that Imperial Aces is now Q1 2014, I highly doubt the Cap Ships will be out next month.

I've found Amazon's estimated dates that the companies themselves haven't publicized aren't actually better than nothing.
Ty for all the gossip.
I really asked because it surprises me how the rebels will get those 2 extra large ships, with no idea of what, nevermind when for the imperials.
What does FFG think players can do with one sided ships like that?
Ofc I can see great mission games, but how can you only give one side access to such beasts?

Keep in mind, that the announcement of the Capital ships was a bit unusual for FFG. They tend to announce product about 3 months before their expected release date. Their "Upcoming Products" page actually tends to be very helpful, especially in keeping track of delays.
And given that there is an Interceptor and A-wing reprint on the slate before the big ships, there is no way in hell FFG is getting the big ships out before May. If we are lucky, we may get a Wave 4 announcement in March for a hopeful June release.

I forsee these being used in 150-300 point games so the empire can field as many ships as it wants up to that. Can you imagine 300 points of TIE's???? AWESOME!
Yep they are for friendly cinematic play.. So yeah big ship being attacked by swarms of Ties.. Noice.
While I want a wave four, I'm still not convinced FFG is going to release four new ships any time soon. The iconic ships are already available, and many of the EU ships people are predicting don't add a whole lot to the mechanics of the game.
As I am in it as much for the collectibility of the ships as for the playability, I would love to see a bunch of new ships come even if the didn't come with many new rules. Many of the suggestions predicted so far would be well received. But, I don't see FFG releasing anything simply based on its collection value. They don't need to, they can barely keep up with demand for what they already have put out. And anything EU is not going to do as well. Sure, those of us who post here will greedily gobble less well known EU ships, but the general population that also supports this game may not receive them with the same enthusiasm.
I wait impatiently just to see if a wave four announcement actually gets made, not as much for what it actually consists of. For if and when it does get announced I'm sure I'll be pleased with whatever was chosen. But the fact we are getting Imperial Aces and Epic ships seems to illustrate that FFG is skirting around putting out a wave four.
The majority of players are Gamers. Gamers like new toys to play with..... GW does plenty well making up new things with no history, same for Privateer Press.... I can't see people having an issue with new EU ships even if they personally have never seen them before. Most people I know have HWK-290s plenty of people seem to be playing with them at tournaments..
Edited by Rodent MastermindI'd even go so far to say, possible, GENCON release.. wave 4 that is.. all the rest.. who knows..
