Sorry - just having some fun. ;)

I only know the following:

The six movies.

Star Wars Supremacy ( computer game for PC probably long extinct now )

Star Wars Battlefront I ( for PS2 )

Star Wars Battlefront II ( for PS2 )

As you can imagine, a lot of the discussions here talk about things I've no idea of. But as long as it's Star Wars I will be interested.

Whatever happened with that "Iconic Wave" Imperial capital ship (which I cannot recall the name of right now), did that ever get debunked?

There was never anything said from FFG about such a thing.

The only ships that we know of coming out are Imperial Aces, Transport and the CR-90.

The majority of players are Gamers. Gamers like new toys to play with..... GW does plenty well making up new things with no history, same for Privateer Press.... I can't see people having an issue with new EU ships even if they personally have never seen them before. Most people I know have HWK-290s plenty of people seem to be playing with them at tournaments..

I agree that gamers will take a ship because of it's abilities, even if they really can't identify with it from a Star Wars point of view. I've only seen most of the ships being talked about for wave four because I'm reading this forum, but I'm interested in many of them. The point is, we're not the only target audience for this game. To capture the larger but more casual Star Wars community into this game, FFG has been hard pressed to stray from the highly recognizable ships from the original trilogy. I think the only reason we got the HWK-290 is that they couldn't find an appropriate rebel support ship for the new rules that came out in wave three. So, at least preserving game balance is enough of a motivating factor. But would they put out an entire wave of obscure ships? I sure hope so, but I'm not ready to bet on it yet. Maybe after twelve iconic ships, they'll finally be able to stray from their strict business model and delve into the EU a bit deeper. I do believe that the ships currently out will not go out-of-print until the games dies, no matter what else is released.

But here's the thing, they are done with the iconic fighters. And we know a Wave 4 is coming. And it is neither the Imperial Aces or the Capital ships. And I look at FFG's sheer love of the EU, including the obscure, in their other games, and I don't see why people doubt the EU ships are coming. Will that be the only products they make from now on, of course not, but they will be the "major" release of the core game.

I mean, really, there are so many ships that have more recognition than the Moldy Crow that they could've done for Wave 3.

well this was supposed to be a link to a picture of a Imperial Freighter, that carried TIE fighters under the wings.. really cool ship..

looking for it so I can link it up again.. sigh

Ha!!.. found it. I'd love to see this one..

I am not sure which will be the next ships... but maybe ffg will release only boxes of "aces" until the next movie or at least trailers appeared.

The A-Wing is getting a new ship specific upgrade that will reduce its attack to one attack dice. This is largely in response to players complaining that the A-Wing is too powerful and its appearing in every rebel squad.

A-wing too powerful? wow lol I think people are just butt hurt and need to suck it up and game on. much love for the A-wing

There was a list of Capitol ships. It was the Transport and Blockade Runner for Rebels, and the Lance Frigate for Imperials. Don't know when we'll see or hear about the Imperial Ship, but as an avid Empire fan, I'd like to see some HARDWARE pretty soon if possible.

The leaks about large ship rules were pretty sweet two. Each one is treated as two separate vessels, and has 4 unique actions it can take that affect nearby ships. They also (naturally) have their own new movement tiles which are more lumbering.

Excited for the Imperial Aces. Have no idea what wave 4 will be, but with the HWK 290, a ship that I, sorry, had never heard of before (as my computer for a long time was a real piece of junk, so I missed the whole Kyle Katarn series), it leads me to believe that we will be seeing a number of EU ships that could come from more sources than anticipated.

Ugh, you guys make it so tempting for me to make up random rumors.

Porkins special ability will be to barrel roll using the three hard right (only right) maneuver template.

Maarek Steele confirmed as the pilot of the Rebel Transport with the same special ability.

I have been hoping for a remake of Luke Skywalker pilot card into Luke Skywalker Jedi Master (or something similar) with a cool new ability and PS9. Thats right Wedge - move aside there is a new sherif in town! c'mon FFG heed my call!

I'd like to see some trick pilot cards...maybe with bank/hard turns that have k-flip options, combination move options (totaling a movement tally perhaps? Like: 1 bank, 1 turn, 1 straight or 1 turn right, 1 turn left, 1 straight - etc...) - maybe that would be too much, I don't know - I'm sure it would require thorough vetting and play testing.
