Which will survive more attacks, a B-Wing or a Tie Advanced?
Number-crunchers needed for a question!
I don't have the numbers. But I remember seeing on TC, someone did run the numbers for the X vs B for which would would survive the longest.
The B had the edge there, but not by much. So the Tie Advanced with the same shields and hull as a X-Wing but 1 more defense dice should beat the B-Wing.

Also the Evade and Barrel Roll actions.
So that clinches it: The Tie Advanced is simply the most survivable small-ship in the game.
Here's the TC post I was talking about.

According to Theorist, the most survivable small craft is the HWK with Chewie as a crew. But if you disregard the crew the Tie Advanced does win.
Edited by VanorDMTA can also have a shield upgrade.
...sure,the Bwing can also hav that, but with 1 def-die it will not make much differance.
It really depends on what is shooting at them. Lots of low attack dice attack will favor the TIE Advanced, since a large number of those attacks won't even get through the TIE Advanced defenses. Few attacks from more attack dice will favor the higher Shields and Hull of the B-wing.
Two shots from X-wings can conceivably kill a TIE Advanced, but not a B-Wing.
A whole swarm of TIEs or A-Wings can conceivably do very little damage to a TIE Advanced, but they will kill an X-wing.
I find I don't trust TC's formulae, as they're based on approximations of statistics rather than the pure math.
Ignoring actions for both offensive and defense, a B wing will require 11.13 2 dice attacks to kill him, 6.82 3 dice attacks to kill him, or 4.85 4 dice attacks to kill him. A Tie Advanced requires 14.12 2 dice attacks, 7.42 3 dice, or 4.72 4 dice attacks.
As you can see, a Tie Advanced survives more attacks than the B in all except the 4 dice scenario. Given the .13 extra attacks required is only a 2.7% increase for the B wing. It is safe to assume that if they are being gunned down equally, the Tie Advanced will live longer. With that said - it is still possible to one shot a Tie Advanced. It is not possible to one shot a B wing. So there will always be that chance of rolling all blanks and getting dead with the Advanced. The B is supposed to get hit.
