Favorite Tournament Software for X-Wing?

By drporter, in X-Wing

Does anyone have links to free tournament software they use for X-Wing events? I know it's probably overkill, but it might be nice to save results, etc. Anything is probably better than my handwritten notes. Thanks!

1. go to www.afewmaneuvers.com

2. click on ' downloads' at the top center

3. download SWSwiss software

Thanks a bunch, @Chargers! Greatly appreciated.

Would it be too much to do a Haka before each game?

well its normally reserved for big occasions so maybe just the semi or finals matches :)

what shall this software actually do?

If your looking for brackets, this website makes pretty fitting brackets.

The good thing about the Swiss tournament software I linked above is that it handles a Swiss style format. Everyone gets to play every round. As you win, you play other winners; if you're not winning, you are playing others who aren't winning. It keeps all players involved and having fun. You can certainly cut-off at some point to a top 4 or something that you can do by hand or use the Challonge site Imperial Rebel noted.

And, no, I'm not from NZ. But a friend is and I love the saying.

You can hear Kez explain the rough translation on episode #38 of the podcast at www.swminiverse.com . He also joins in on #60, 65, and 69 in case you love the accent.

Any chance an iPad/iPhone app exists that could be used for running Swiss Style X-Wing Tournaments? That would be super-convenient in lieu of lugging a laptop to the event.
