Update for SoN (Next Expansion)

By jadedbacon, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

The new scout class looks like cool, maybe i will play a scout now

but i dont see the point about the other one

I like it. After reading the mage, I feel she is more balanced. Low health and all.

The point appears to be that she's a mage who's very hard to hit.

The conjurer looks like it plays a distracting support role, which I find interesting

Mage still seem way to tank like for my taste. If the stamina was lower (down to 3/4) i would probably be ok. Still, no point moaning till we get our hands on them.

"Apply +1 to your Stamina"

"Use this card"

Please tell me they are going to be polished.

(I know you cna't really tell me that, but if you do I might believe it)

The Conjurer seems like it has some serious map control potential, which is why I'm glad that they placed such a dangerous negative side to having your illusions destroyed. This matches well with the ability and incentive to produce up to 3 illusions inexpensively (both stamina and actions), in a single turn. If you're not careful, you might find yourself taking two damage per illusion.

My very favorite part to come out of this, is that the otherwise nearly-useless Word of Pain card suddenly becomes this character's death knell.
