Why do you ask? It's what the fans want. Plus they're kickass ships. They have the firepower required to bolster both factions. Now the number of miniatures that come out of the wave will probably be limited and take forever to reprint, looking at FFG's track record of the 1st wave.
But, hopefully Soup Guy won't be stingy and buy all of them before the rest of us get a chance to.

I think they should do what WizKids did and scale them down.
2 A-Wings and 2 Tie-Advanced with a colored stripe down the side of the ship just like the imperial ace intercepters.
a Super Star Destroyer as a playing field with turbolaser emplacements and tractor beams and such and then allow the rebels to field more points for a squad to offset the advantage. there's a lot that would go into this but it wouldn't be impossible and definitely take the game to the next level.
Actually, they could make a Star Destroyer gaming mat set. Provide some turrets, a bridge section and a few objectives to destroy and it could be a fun game.
Would still need to be a lot of mats joined together to make a decent sized Star Destroyer, IF you could fit the whole outline onto even 6"x4" area.
I think it's going to be a off scale Super Star Destroyer (on a small ship base) and an Ewok Glider (on a big ship base) with a turret.

Anyone think they'll someday do what Warhammer did and do an epic version? You know, basically scale everything down so you can have large capital ships, and the smaller ones would be in whole squads? I can see it working if they have a Star Destroyer about the size of the Transport, and basically scale everything down from there. (Transport about as big as a Falcon, Falcon the size of an X-WIng and so on).
