Hey guys, with a request for some shots of TIE/Ins "Blood stripes" and talk of a repainted TIE/Adv here are the ships I have done so far, I am currently trying to get a Kath Scarlet style Firespray going, but as my wision issues hamper me it is slow going.

Stripes were taped off, and then touched up where there was minimal bleed through, also weathered slightly, but I don't think my camera picked up much of that.

This was done early last year cause I was bored. But I am making a unit where all ships will be painted in such a manner. If I go to tournaments I'll try to be distinct.. should work out ok.

Dark washed TIEs.. I have several, and just am gonna show two. One has a gimbal mount just for grins.

And my B-wings, I have them all magnatized for the stands, but only one (at the moment) has the cocpit magnatized as well.

the two Blue squad are similar and have subtle differencesthe third only has a distinct Red Rebel emblem

From decaling, to the paint on the Green Squads.

Future endeavors include some Decaling and painting a couple Red TIE/Lns, as I have some decals coming that will give a red Imperial symbol for the wings. should look pretty cool, and I am gonna paint one of my Shuttles and see what happens, it already has some Grey on it, but I may chop the upper fin and shave down the wings slightly just fo rfun, but have some white Imp circles to place there too..

Great looking vessels, I like the green A and dark sinister Hawk the best.

Thanks guys, glad you like them. I have plans to add small changes to many of them, if I can get an engine glow paint scheme I like I will do those eventually. but.. just not in the pipeline just yet.. maybe after I get the Kath Firespray done..

Where dem Rebel decals from?

Joe, I print those from my computer.. shrink to fit.. the one on the B-wing is the same as on the A-wing.. just resized..I have a couple sets of different decal paper.

New to painting. How do you paint the rebel insignias.

You should ask Rodent Mastermind for painting those. I did those as decals, I print them off of my computer, onto decal paper.

My eyes are not good enough to paint those small symbols.

Painting a Rebel Symbol

This may seem daunting at first but they are not the most difficult thing to paint. You don't just paint it directly on, you use simple shapes and the background colour to make your job easier.

So here is a list of how I do it and a diagram

• First things first get the background colour down
• Then paint a circle in black and fill it in
• If it's slightly distorted or the edges are rough you can then clean them up by using the background and painting lines around the edge to round it off
• So you now have a circle, sit back and enjoy your work.
• Next paint 2 tear drops in the background color.
• This should now have the base shape of the Rebel Symbol
• Next paint a black V on the stem.
• You should now have more or less the Rebel Symbol But the end of the center spoke is a tough big, so use the original colour to paint over the ends of the spikes to make them a tiny bit shorter
• And there is your rebel symbol
• Practice, Practice, Practice.
