Greetings + Corellian Ketch

By pocoloco, in X-Wing

Hello, first time posting.

Been a while off from hobby and still have no time to build and paint actively so decided to start X-wing and got lured to partake in these forums as well seeing all the great build and paint jobs you lot have posted here.

I currently own ships from two starter sets plus Millennium Falcon, TIE interceptor and Advanced TIE plus the pictured vessel (see below). I'm sure most of you recognize it and obviously it's way too small to represent the original one… especially since there's the FFG version of it coming (which I have pre-ordered through my FLGS).

But I would still like to use this smaller one as well, seen next to YT-1300. For me it looks suitable as a Corellian built ketch or perhaps yawl, used mainly for freighter escort or perhaps courier service.

I haven't played the game yet so I have no clue about suitable stats or rules for it, but maybe those of you with better understanding of things could help me out here?

Cheers,

pocoloco

So haven't come up with any stats for the ketch yet but I guess I will go with YT-1300esque stats, just need to use some other movement dial, I think.

Anyways, another pic of the said vessel, providing escort with two X-wings for a YT-1300 freighter...

Uh. I'm just going to go out on a limb h-

I have no idea what's happening here actually.

It's ok Captain Lackwit... at least you tried :-P

My "problem" is that I bought the Action Fleet Corellian Corvette but as can be seen quite easily from the pics in my posts, that for X-Wing game the Action Fleet Corvette is not close to what a "real" in-scale corvette class ship would be in the X-wing. So I was wondering what kind of game stats I could use with it and thus be able to use it in a game as a sort of ketch or yawl class ship, that is maybe fluffwise meant for freighter escort roles and such.nonsense :)

You could put it on a large base and use it as an Outer Rim Smuggler. That would be cool.

You can get base sockets and adaptors from Shapeways.

Just dont let Kettch find your ketch. You'd never get the fur out.

Or, you can wait for the Tantive IV release and not worry about which dial to use. It's $80, but you'll have an official Corvette from FFG...
