lost or missing cards

By MarthWMaster, in Star Wars: The Card Game

Has anyone ever, like, lost a card, thereby making that card's whole objective set unusable? It's the one thing I always feared would happen with this game. Now as it happens, the card I'm missing is 1x Force Choke from the "Counsel of the Sith" objective set, but there's no way I'm spending $50+ to buy the promo of that card, even if it is alternate art (way better than an aurebesh title and normal art IMO). I haven't contacted Customer Service yet, but the last time I contacted them it was several months ago, about a bug that must've somehow gotten squished during production between two of the cards in my Edge of Darkness set, and I still haven't heard back from them. I figure if I can't get replacements due to a production mishap, I've not much hope resolving issues that are my own **** fault, right?

Anyone have suggestions for how I can replace this card? Thanks!

I would reach out to FFG and ask them to replace the card. I've heard of them doing it before, but so far the only thing I've lost is a dark side force card and that isn't game breaking, so I haven't tried it myself. But definitely reach out to them ask them what they can do to help you.

I mean hell they made the game so that any single missing card completely breaks your deck, which doesn't happen in any other game I've heard of, and even if it did, I think in the name of good will and quality customer service they should replace the **** card.

Hi,

one solution is to buy only the objective set. I know teamcovenant who do this (but concil of sith seem's out of stock), maybe some other retailer do the same

I would try double checking which card you're missing before pursuing any way to replace it. Counsel of the Sith does not have Force Choke in the set.

Oops, you're right. I actually meant "The Emperor's Web," which is the wrong objective set for the Force Choke promo anyway. Thanks for the heads-up.

If they don't have one, let me know. To answer your question though, I have in fact lost a card, the good droid from Frozen Refuge. Fortunately, I contacted everyone with whom I had played and found it.

After every game I play, I count my deck to make sure that there are 50 cards there. Also, if the person is using either the same (or highly similar) card sleeves, I actually sort by objective set to make certain that I have all of my cards. It sounds like a lot of work, but takes about 60 seconds.
