New to the game and y first post here. I signed up because i wanted to ask a question about the y wing pilot horton salm's ability.

It states you can reroll any blanks at range 2-3 when attacking. Does this apply to proton torpedoes to? As the PT card states ATTACK i'm assuming yes. And to the ion cannon when ired at range 2?

And if this is a yes, does it apply to other pilots to? (for example han solo firing torpedoes, does he get to use his reroll?)

I think it is legal, but just wanted to know for sure.Thanks in advance!

I think if I follow you right the answer is yes, yes, and if there were more questions, yes.

Some abilities specify primary or secondary weapons; Howlrunner says "with its primary weapon," Krassis says "with a secondary weapon." If someone doesn't specify one or the other (Horton, Jan, etc) it can work with any attack type.

I think CrookedWookie may want to re-examine his answer. I believe the answers are Y/Y/N.

1. Yes, Horton may reroll the blanks with his Proton Torpedo attacks.

2. Yes, Horton may reroll blanks when attacking with the Ion Turret at range 2.

3. NO! Horton's ability ONLY applies to him. If you have Horton and Han then Han doesn't care one bit what Horton has to say. Horton's ability is ship specific and does not apply to any other ship.

4. Yes, Horton may reroll blanks when attacking targets at range 2-3 with his primary weapon.

For question #3 ask yourself this: "If Horton allowed ALL rebel ships to reroll blanks on attacks at range 2-3 why wouldn't we see him in a LOT more builds?" I mean you see Howlrunner in all kinds of Imperial squads and he only allow OTHER friendlies WITHIN RANGE 1 to reroll a single die from their primary attack. You also see Jonus do the same thing with secondary weapons but allowing 2 dice to be rerolled. Based on that don't you think everyone would be all over a ship that allowed everyone to reroll blanks no matter how far away they are or what type of weapon they are using?

I think he meant "do all pilot abilities apply to any weapons they use," which granted is still a no (I lost count) but I don't think he was asking if Horton worked on all of his allies (I hope). I think he meant if Han is firing torpedoes (missiles) can Han use his OWN reroll ability on them, in which case yes. It just says 'when attacking.' If it specified a weapon type, it would only work for that kind of weapon.

I should point out that Howlrunner is female. We have so few female pilots, it's a shame not to give them credit.

You are quite right. Horton is selfish with his rerolls.

This is a problem with using the pronoun "it" to describe something when "it" is not yet defined. I guess maybe the example should have cleared it up but when the topic is Horton and his abilities that is what I easily assumed was the "it" in the questions.

My apologies to Howlrunner. I could have, and maybe even should have, just used IT to describe that ship and its abilities.
