3 players and monstrous/moving asteroids

By DoubleNot7, in X-Wing Battle Reports

We played a 3 player free for all, 100 points per player, and used the monstrous asteroids and moving asteroid rules from Rage magazine.

I ran 5 prototype A wings, all with stealth devices.

Col. Jendon armed with an auto blaster looked like he thought about trying to flank around the rear, so we altered course and intercepted with all 5 A's

The last thing Col. Jendon saw with his control panel light up like a Christmas tree.

We had a good game and I got doubled team near the end but the A-wings were victorious thought only 2 survived the game. Running 5 was a lot of fun but I really felt under gunned when engaging a Darth Vader with a stealth device and also a Rogue Squadron pilot with R2-F2 and stealth.

I want to run 5 A wings in a 1-on-1 game to get more of a feel for them.

That looks fun... I totally dig the huge asteroids.. been wanting to make some , but hadn't thought about any that size.. lol.... i need to get some big foam.. lol

Looks like it was a lot of fun. :)

We had no special events with the monstrous asteroids during the game. You roll when in close proximity but each time a blank was rolled, so no ships got swallowed by giant space slugs! There were also no collisions with the larger asteroids, which also do more damage. The only asteroid impacts we had were some small rocks, and only one of those were a direct cause of asteroid movement. It was fun though.

Is it possible to link, or post those rules for the moving asteroids. . A friend had an idea for something similar and he might find it useful

They were published in Ravage (or is it Rage?) magazine. One of the other players had the magazines.

Ahh, ok.. might see if I can find it online then.. thanks
