I haven't noticed any threads mentioning the final saber pilot from the Imperial Aces pack, but since it's now listed on the front FFG front page I figured I'd point it out here.

I really love the new interceptor pilots, but they're so killable with 3 hull for those points. Still, it seems like they'd be pretty handy in a dogfight with fighters, just avoid turret ships (unless you're flying Carnor Jax I suppose)

I swear the Falcon has ruined half of the fun squads I want to fly.

The art is sexy. I don't think 24 points is too steep, and a 1 k-turn is pretty friggin' novel. I'll probably end up running a 4 Interceptor list just for the heck of it.

Add the Royal Guard TIE title and two Shield Upgrades, and bam, your TIE Interceptor has the survivability of an X-Wing! (For the low, low price of 8 points, but still.)

Unfortunately, the Royal Guard title card says they have to be different modifications.

You could do a Shield Upgrade and a Hull Upgrade. Same basic effect.

for the extra point the shield upgrade would be a lot more worthwhile

interceptors can really suffer from a crit and that sheild has a good chance to negate that, where as the hull upgrade just allows for another crit effect to hinder it more so

after playing with a lot of bombers lately, i've much decided i don't like them very much do to the sole fact that they're crit magnets and i don't think i played one game that a bomber didn't have at least 2 crit effects on it at any given time before it was killed

I gotta say as a Rebel player I'm excited to get this pack to try out an Interceptor squad with this guy in it. The fact that I can choose whichever of three Koiogran turns I wish (including K-turn 1!) with a pretty high starting pilot skill is pretty amazing. So, now the question is how do you make the most of this guy? Shedding stress shouldn't be too hard with the dial of the Interceptor, so now the question is upgrades and talents. Personally I say Veteran Instincts and Shield Upgrade with Targeting computer, since you're almost guaranteed to almost always move last and shoot first, and it gives you a bit more beef alongside the ability to get target locks. So that'd be... 31 points? Expensive, but nasty. I have a feeling we're going to see a lot more elite Interceptor lists out there.
