Its a really fun game Audio Weasel so I hope you find some good people who play it and its another good game for you and yes the models are very nice, which was one of my initial draws to the game for me, its fun system a very nice bonus.

Thanks man! Yeah, I don't have a 40k army, but always LOVED Space Wolves... So figured I should paint a few of the new termies up, because they looked so cool:)
I got into miniatures last year in april with x-wing. My wife and I play it (She also won the last tournament.....and got the medal lol). I have to say that I do have the Dark Vengeance box from GW and I also bought the Belial figure...$99 for the box and $22 for one dude lol..yeah the prices do suck. However with the ZONE Mortalis rules, I can play with what I have in the Dark Vengance box set. I honestly am quit enjoying painting although it is taking me quite a while.
Besides X-wing and 40K the store I frequent convinced me into buying Star Trek Attack Wing, call me crazy but I prefer Star Trek to Star Wars sorry. I LOVED the DOS version of Xwing and TIE FIGHTER, thats what made me love star wars along with episodes IV and V but only slave leai end the endor space battle for VI. However, as a game I do enjoy attack wing when it is played as a faction based game. Thats the way we play the OP events at the store I go to.
I do hope x-wing continues to grow, but I just wish they would release the epic tournament rules! I gotta know the point values!

lol the sad thing is I had beaten her before and we used the exact same list as well. Alas the force was not with me that day.
Its not wrong to love the Attack Wing as well. They come about equal in my estimation but function different enough to feel like different games once you really get into them. What faction if any do you prefer in attack wing ?

If I do get in, I think the Nomads have the edge on where I'll start.

Xwing and AttackWing are merely facets of the same game. Besides the choice of scifi flavor, I cannot see how can dislike one.
xwing just has better ships and components.
I could never catch the Napoleanic fever. I am getting ready to start up skirmish level French and Indian War. Im working on 28mm gladiators now. After my last deployment to Iraq, I gave away all of my 28mm moderns (Dogs of War). It lost some appeal.
Love the idea of an F&I war skirmish game... Some great fun potential. Also think the potential for a CRAPTON of fun for gladiators is there... Just love the idea of starting a lowly gladiator or team of them and building them up over time. I feel like a card/dice hybrid is the way to go with that. Understandable that after seeing modern war in person you'd not be too interested in gaming it... I get that completely, but am thankful that I haven't ever had to live it:(

I play federation, mostly because i find it fun to have picard and sisko flying around together. Another reason is that for the store I attend the OP events, during the 1st OP event, whatever faction you played was the faction you had to use for the entire series of Dominion OP events.
Nice good captains and crew, I'm running dominion though slowly working on all of them.
