Is there any patch out there that will reveal the card infomation? I own everything, so I'm not exactly cheating the system, but I hate having to tote around my damage deck.

I believe there are ways to insert the information yourself, but no, for legal reasons nobody will put that out there and make it available to everyone. For damage decks what I do is simply have a browser open in the background to this page:

Yeah, most Vassal mod's are like that because otherwise the company that makes the game might feel the need to force Vassal to remove the mod.

If FFG told the people behind Vassal to remove the X-Wing mod, they'd do so. So best thing to do, is avoid anything that might cause FFG to feel they're losing sales.

I think there are also copyright issues and such involved. I believe I heard once upon a time that there was discussion with FFG, who agreed to allow the Vassal mod, and allowed them to use the card ART, if the text was removed. But I can't say for certain if there's any truth to that or not.

I just know that GW (shocker) has been pretty aggressive about destroying every Vassal mod of their own games, because they hate the gaming community and resent people actually playing their games and keeping the old ones alive (or something), and the X-Wing community is trying to walk lightly and not suffer the same fate. Because most of us who play on Vassal all the time also can't stop buying the minis.

Whereas Wyrd, are very open and release their own mods... written by er.. some rat close at hand.

And I'll settle for uneasy truce over GW's scorched earth policy.
