The anticipation is killing me!...

By NintendoMan, in UFS General Discussion

I dont think I have every anticipated a ufs more than I have set twelve. I dont know if its because of the so few spoilers we got (compared to many other sets), or the fact that this set is supposed to have and do so much, or if its that it officially kicks off block three the way it is supposed to be.

The anticipation is killing me!

What Im looking to this set to give me- anti olcadan's to more symbols, more momentum generation for symbols that cant run LotM, more finisher attacks, anti Spike(s)/Defender, more anti-commital, quirky characters.

So what you guys anticipating or wanting most?

I'm very much looking forward to running more thna 10 attacks and less than 10 billion foundations in a deck, thats for sure!

Other than that, I look forward to seeing how they majestically kill off the one shot kill/grey war deck in one fell swoop. Bring on Set 12!

The return of quality attacks, by far. Gotten tired of just seeing Feline Spike or the discard + one shot style we've seen for a few months now.

Also curious on how big a difference combo is going to make in deck design. Will decks that can use the combo enhances have enough of an advantage to build around it?

I know some of you have the cards already... I need spoilage... Someone spoil me...

I'll wait for official word to spoil specifics, but lots of symbols are getting boosted. Air and order wont gain an incredible amount of stuff. The symbols I like (earth death and evil) got a boost.

Rashotep can selectivly "blank" cards for a turn or pre-emptivly say something cant be played. Artwork on his stuff is amazing imo.

Nightmare makes foundation essentialy one time use

Cervantez plays around with his own cc's

Astaroth is much like youd imagine--damage pumps and also a anti hacking theme

I don't want to spoil to much. Lets just say you and your playgroup should bring a 2nd set of underwear.

i am looking forward to life not being the worst symbol any more. i think with new ivey suport, it may rise back into the ranks of the playable.

And the nightmare foundation we didn't even get a name or stats or block or anything XD

I'm getting this hunch that Lost Memories might very well be one of the other three reprints...

I dont know about that they kinda already did that sort of thing with charasmatic.

Good point, although it is also true that Charismatic wound up being close to unplayable in more than 1 copy due to Olcadan's -.-'

Yes, more love for void :D

Please no more Yoga. Ever. Seriously, for anyone that feels enhance negation is that needed, ask for newly created cards that are reasonably fair. Overreacting in efforts to fix problems was one of the biggest problems of sets 1-10. Don't encourage it to continue.

Set Twelve will not be the same without this guy :

I don't know if anything like it will be in this set. I don't know if it will be in any set. But here's what I would like to see most:

"Foundation - Earth/Good/Life - 2 difficulty / 5 control

E Commit 1 foundation: If this attack's damage is 8 or more, its damage is reduced to 0."

That's it. It would significantly weaken Spike, but also every single-attack finisher that uses damage pumps. Players would have to consider playing mid-level attacks (or pumping to only mid-level) and attacking more. It might become bad practice to include only 6 finishers in your deck. Plus Good and Earth would have it _and_ Holding Ground to control monster damage.

Of course, it would need at least one solid anti-control piece for the same symbols; some other card that could protect it from getting tapped too easily by Evil/Order.

Still, I think it would be one of the greatest things this game (and specifically those symbols) could get.

Considering Siggy's preview (if one of your foundations would be committed/destroyed, commit/destroy this instead) and the fact that bigger support = more themes for a character, we'll probably get at least one more anti-control piece of the same type in his support...

That is way too powerful earth has enough damage reduction and life gain. I mean that card is a more powerful rejection since rejection does reduce it too 1.

Don't forget Healer and (to an extent) Fight or Flight on good's part as well. Good is really a terror for Spike decks, you need to beat the pants off of it with negation/commit/destroy effects before you'll have a shot to do anything.

I just wish one of those foundations had a 5 check.
