I'm about to cut one of my range rulers to become a true range 1 and 2 ruler only. What is peoples conception of where range 2 ends? Before or after the line?

Try and center it as best as you can so you can see the line on both sides of the cut. Use a razor blade and make about a dozen passes so you don't smash the cardboard when you do it.
They are meant to be set numbers of cm. So get a decent ruler and see where it should end. It will be more accurate as the print can be slightly misaligned.
Check the post "Best purchase ever" toward the bottom range 1 is listed as 10cm....range 2 is 20cm. I have not checked this out myself yet but will get back to ya
I know when he cut those for me, I was told he had to cut them special and *not* just make a regular one and cut it, because the loss of material would leave them a bit short. So just make sure you measure carefully, yeah. And yes, I believe a range ruler is 30cm, so each range band should be exactly 10.
