So if the Y-wing was able to take a crew upgrade, which crew would you use for it?
Let's talk Y-wings

Vader (he flew one once)
But really R2-D2 and Nien would be a killer combo.

Meh... It gives him a 3 and 4 speed that it previously didn't have. The 4 speed might be the biggest advantage since it allows a Y to keep up with an X. I suppose it that could be a great end game combo... ICT + R2D2 + Nien. Meh... I still don't think I'd take Nien in that situation - the green 2 is good enough to separate from R1.
Looking at the current crew cards, I don't know if I'd take any of them with a Y wing. Obviously Chewy could be used if that was the goal. But the Y doesn't have a way to change maneuvers, so IA is useless to him (though it could work well if you had a flanking A wing or something), I never really go fast with the Y wing to need Nien, though changing the 4 from a red to a green might be the best crew to take...
Merc Copilot seems useless as I want to be in R2 to use my turret. Saboteur could be interesting, but I would probably prefer my action to be a TL/F so I have a better chance at getting the ion through (or required to focus due to blaster turret).
Navigator wouldn't be too bad. Change your forward and bank to any speed, change between a 2-3 turn. It would be better on Dutch/Horton though, and now we're starting to talk 30+ points on a Y wing. Recon Spec would make the blaster turret viable on a Y wing. Weapons engineer wouldn't be too bad on gold/grays. Especially since I typically ionize different ships each turn. That would allow me to take a focus ever other turn.
Flight instructor would be better used on a ship with more than 1 agility. Chewy is nice as always. Gunner seems useless since you'd normally want to attack with your turret and may not even have a primary attack target. Same for Luke.
So I guess the only ones I'd consider taking would be:
Nien Numb (only if my astromech slot has something in it already as I'd rather a generic R2)
Intelligence Agent (squad dependent)
Recon Spec (If I ever wanted to take a blaster turret)
Navigator (on Dutch / Horton)
Weapons Engineer (not on Dutch)
Chewy
Edited by KhyrosI've only just figured out that Y-Wing pilots dont have E lite P ilot T alents.
Hope there is some more cards coming that give them EPT.
Recon specialist is what I would choose.
