Green Squadron must be the strangest one in the game
Is there any other squadron in the game where all the basic pilots get a Elite Talent.
....except for their Squad leader (Arvel Crynyd).

Black Squadron for the TIE Fighters and Saber Squadron for the TIE Interceptors, I think.
Yep, but Vader and Fel both get EPTs so they wouldn't count.
There is Kir Kanos who is an Emperor's Guard, and the base EGI interceptor has a EPT but he doesn't.
Edited by Rodent MastermindNo...Black squadron was under Vaders command (and he gets an elite talent)
Sabre squadron was under the command of Soontir Fel (also gets one)

I thought Carnor Jax was the leader of the royal guard...
Black Squadron sort of has that going on...
Backstabber and Dark Curse are part of Black Squadron but do not get elite talent upgrades.
"Mauler" Mithel, designated DS-61-2, or Black 2 would probably have lead if Vader was not flying.
so yes Green Squadron is the only one with Green Leader not having Elite Talents when the rest of the Ships do have.
closest comparision at the moment would be Black Squadron.
but poor Gold Squadron even Gold Leader (Dutch) doesn't have an Elite Talent... unless you fast forward to Endor where Billy Dee is Gold Leader in the Falcon...
Edited by IvlerIinMy mistake, misread the question
I was about to say Dagger Squadron but was surprised to see that no they don't. They're (Green Squad) an odd pilot card for sure, but I use them very often and like them a lot.
In the lore it's noted that the Green squadron was formed by culling the best pilots from other units and putting them in A-wings. So a generic GSP is already supposed to be very good, perhaps justifying the EPT. As for Arvel... Um, he did crash into the largest ship present? (Yeah, I know it was on purpose.)
Well, Arvel (Green Leader?) does have his own unique pilot ability, which is kind of like a personal EPT. At least, that's the way I look at it. That other veteran pilots have a unique ability AND EPT potential, you could justify it by saying that, despite being some of the best pilots culled from among the rest of the available Rebel squadrons, they were flying a type of ship that was relatively new and their experience with this particular ship type would thus be somewhat limited.

Green squadron, Black Squadron, and Saber Squadron all have the elite upgrade capability. I would really like to see the X-wing get such a squadron I have been pushing for a Rouge Squadron card for a long time, but alas, no one at FFG listens to me.

nope. Scimitar Squadron Pilot gets no Elite upgrade
u must have meant Sabre Squadron Pilot?
it is a mystery to me why so many pilots missed out on a possible Elite Talent slot.

Yup, I missed typed.
I agree with you. I actually think that every ship should have one squadron that has the elite talent upgrade without having a name. It should of course be the highest skilled generic for each ship.

We have a 'Rebel Aces light' comming with the transport already. Do you really expect another box containing a X-Wing so soon?

And, except for Green Squadron, their leaders gets an Elite Talent....

If you read closer, you can see he was referring to the next boxed set of starfighters in the "Aces" line (if one box can be called a line). It might not necessarily succeed the Imperial Aces box immediately, or even come after the next wave, but it is only logical to assume that if there is an Imperial Aces, there will also be a Rebel Aces box eventually.
This is your interpretation of what he wrote.
There may be a rebel aces box someday with the Rouge Squadron as a theme ... but not because the imperials got an Aces box. Its like you'd say 'The Rebels got a transport, now the Imperials will get a transport next in line'. I'd say the Imperials get the aces because the rebels get the transport (including some X-Wing aces) and the CR90 thereafter.
It is Rogue Squadron (R-O-G-U-E) not Rouge.

If you really want a
Rouge
Squadron, look no further than the already published box set and X-wing expansions, both of which include
Red
Squadron Pilots
Just having fun with the English language and pointing out that, since words have meanings and

I wonder how many rebels referred to the Imperial Guard TIEs as Rouge Squadron?
Rogue Leader to New Rogue Pilots:
Forming Rogue Squadron and Rogue Flight was actually a accident. We were Red Squad at the time, we just used our colour designation in different languages to throw off the Empire's com-chatter if they managed to listen in.
From Red to Rouge and misinterpretation by the empire; Rogue Squadron was born.

that's how I explained how the Rogues were formed back when I was younger and didn't know any better playing "fighter pilots" with my friends

Pilots that are KIA seem to not get EPTs.

Porkins is KIA. And he seems to get an EPT.
