for my money these were the two most interesting builds in the top8...

1. Neil Howard (Top 8)

Captain Jonus + Squad Leader + Seismic Charge

Scimitar Squadron + Cluster Missiles + Concussion Missiles

Scimitar Squadron + Advanced Proton Tropedoes + Proton Tropedoes

Academy Pilot

... im intrigued there were no Assault Missiles included and at how low the Pilot Skills are.

dropping one of the proton torps+seismic charge and upgrading an academy to howlrunner would make sense but hay he clearly played it very well and must have used the torps to good effect to get that far, im just thinking about what i would have played if i had bombers in a squad like this.

2. Jim Blakley (Top 8)

Rookie Pilot

Blue Squadron

Gold Squadron

... I would never have considered playing Y-Wings without and secondary weaponry (I have always played them using an Ion Cannon).

... again a low Pilot Skill squad that did very well against the field. Seem like it would do well against Tie-Swarms due to its high durability.

I just remembered that I have one of the lists they posted showing Sos/Ratings for the top 16 before we got things underway. The names not represented in the top 8 (and thus in the top 16) are:

The list I faced in the top 16 was 2 BHs, each with Gunner, and 2 Academies. It's a good list, but had issues with my PS4+ ships.

I know Sean Lahti (my son) ran Chewy with Gunner and Draw Their Fire and 2 Blue Squadron, both with Sensor Jammer. He was the 14 seed and lost to undefeated (at the time) Jim Blakley that round. Still, not bad for a 13 year old and the youngest player in the tourney!!!

Hi there,

after worlds i looked for the squads at worlds to post at our german site. I got the main list here, The_Brown_Bomber or atomic boxer (don't know, who was first ;-) ) had this good list to start from.
