I am a long time fan of talisman. Been playing since first edition. I love how fantasy flight has expanded the lore for talisman. The characters are mega well known. I wish FFG would make a version of descent, perhaps a stand alone expansion, that places you in the world of talisman but in the style of descent. The locales and items would fit into the game well. Quest for the crown. With the twist of last man standing in the end. Does anyone else think this is agood idea? Or add to it?

I would keep things separated.

Talisman has its own life and dynamics (heroes, especially, are generic - such as an Elf, a Ghoul, etc.). I like both games a lot, but for different reasons.

Runebound - presently OOP - is set in Terrinoth and would be the "Talisman" version for Descent.

I am not totally sure, but I think that the Conversion Kit has some Runebound heroes adapted to Descent.

Yes, it is. almost all of them, except for the last expansion.

I think it's a great idea for a homebrew project. Probably not too hard, either.

I don't think FFG stands to gain much by making it themselves, though. They might even run afoul of their agreement with GW not to make anything that competes with their games.
