Our game club will be hosting AGoT store championship event, and I'm looking for feedback on what is the preferred format for this type of event - joust (2-players) or melee (multiplayer)?

I've played both, but I've never done a tournament for AGoT. Not sure what the community in general prefers.

For a tournament joust hands down

depends on the players in your area. General its joust but their are a few area's that prefer melee. I would ask the players that you currently play with and those that may attend the tournament to find out what they enjoy most.

The issue is we don't have a regular play base at the club, but we are expecting the local scene to come out for this, maybe 10-12 players. I don't have any way of asking them, so I figured I'd ask here instead. I know deck building differs depending on Joust of Melee, so I don't want to wait till the day of the event to decide.

In a unknown environment i would go with joust.
