Hey guys so my good friend lives in the middle of no where and he wants to start playing x-wing. Have any of you had any experience playing this game over distance? I thought about setting up a website maybe overlaying a grid on the board somehow. Any advice or suggestions? Thanks!

Team covenant have made a Vassal mod, that + Skype is probably the best way to play over distance.

I use Clint's system over Google Hangouts....The metal bikini.com is his site and has the instructions. Only things you need is a camera and a grid. No offense, but I really don't like vassal personally....I like flying my minis around.

Correction, Aiden (who used (?) to post over at afewgoodmaneuvers x-wing's forum) made the module as far as I know. I merely made the last few updates to the modules (including wave 3) and I'm a regular player at the x-wing online tournaments over at Team Covenant.
