PbP Game - face the Great Devourer

By Gurkhal, in Deathwatch

Don't really recall about Nerdboud.com but we've moved to rpol.net anyway so you might want to try that site and this link.

But you've better be fast ;) cause the game is on!

Roger that.

Account made. Are we rolling characters ourselves or are you handling that? Either way I will have mine done today (I am on Japan time, so if my responses come later keep that in mind. But I will post/update AT LEAST 1 time/day).

Edit: OK, I registered and I validated but the site is taking its time recognizing the validation. I saw the thread where players list their characters but I am only seeing two characters - a Carcharadon Assault Marine and a Blood Ravens Apothecary. I am assuming there are more than that - what specialty is needed? It was really hard to get my PC done today as I have not yet been given access to the game per you.

I am thinking of going an Ultramarine Tyranic War Veteran/Tactical Marine. A gregarious type, peace maker and leader of demigods.

I have a list of homebrew rules my group uses if you would like to peruse it; if so, feel free to use what you would like and discard what you don't. Would you be interested in seeing it?

I've sent you a PM on the site in question. See you there!

EDITED: I should add that we won't take on any more players at the moment.

Ok, we've had some drop out and thus we are looking for new players.

So far we've got these roles to fill!

Storm Warden Librarian

Mentor (Custom Made version) Tactical Marine (possibly, not sure entirely if the player is out perm or temp)

So if you want to kick Tyranid ass, come join us!

PS: After this mission has been done players playing pre-existing characters will be able to change to new characters if they would prefer that.

I'm interested in the Mentor Legion rules used to create that character. Custom-made or is it off the forums here?

Alex

These are the Mentor rules that we are using. :) Pretty summery, yes, but its better to quickly find the references and information than have to drag through ten pages of stuff thart won't come up in the game anyway.

Possibly a Raptors Tactical Marine? I won't use my custom chapter since they're similar to the salamanders. But I'm in the process of devising another one that is more unique.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to because I'm pretty busy with real life stuff right now.

Thanks for expressing the interests. :) Please give me a heads up if you would get time on you hands.

If I get a laptop I'll definitely be more able to participate on a consistent basis.

If I do wind up joining what rank/renown would I be and how many XP points would I have to spend?

I'd be happy to snag that Librarian position on the team. I'd probably go for a Salamander or just use my own Salamander Successor chapter I made.

Right now I am running the Librarian, and I've already introduced myself. As previously mentioned, since the group is mid-run, you (like me) would be coming in using one of the already-existing characters- in your case, presumably the Mentor Tacmarine. After this mission you (like me) would be able to swap to a different character (like me). In your case, that character would probably be that Salamander/Successor Librarian. In my case, probably an Assault Marine.

At present, everyone in the game is running starting characters, so there's your rank/renown/xp.

Annaamarth beat me to it. That's pretty much as it stands right now.

What chapter will your assault marine be from Annaamarth? I'm the other assault marine in the group haha

I'm looking at playing an Ultramarine's successor chapter that uses tactics somewhere between Raven Guard and Black Templar. Wrathful warrior monks with a mad-on for HERESY, but preferring to use surprise attacks, shock and awe and infiltration where-ever possible. Needless to say, their questionable relationship to the Codex leaves them on unfriendly terms with the Ultramarines. :)

I plan on being sneaky and don't expect to use the jumppack very often- so I don't expect to ever use my special ability, which is a shame.

Ahh gotcha

And I might say that we are currently not looking for more players. :)

There is a lot of killin' about to go down. Prime killin' real estate and time to invest, one might say.
