PbP Game - face the Great Devourer

By Gurkhal, in Deathwatch

Ok, I thought that I should check if there's interest for starting up a Deathwatch game as all those would seem to be dead at the moment. icon_e_sad.gif

The premise of the game is that the Kill-Team is assembled to be used in the Orpheus Salient where they are soon finding themselves fighting to help overstretched Imperial defenses to hold out for a moment longer while starring into the eyes of the Great Devourer, and shooting at point blank range into those eyes, and somewhere in the shadow of the Hive Fleets there may just be a sliver of light for mankind.

And as a I dislike having to see the First Founding Chapters over, and over, and over, and over again I would be very happy for characters who are not from these nine Chapters - custom Chapters are entirely welcome!

So, anyone interested?

I would be if I could be a Carcharodons Assault Marine :D

You're in! :D

I'm interested...

What platform? What days/times?

PbP plattform over at Nerdbound.com.

I'd also be interested, most likely as a Sons of Medusa Techmarine.

EDIT: I'd like to use the Codex marine version for Sons of Medusa rather than have a carbon copy of Iron Hands in everything by name if that's all right with you.

I posted on the thread, though I'm a newb with access to some of the books.

EDIT: Also, that link's not always up...

SoM Techmarine sounds good to me. :) And you are free to use the Honor the Chapter version if you like it better. No problem. :)

Saw you at Nerdbound and I say: welcome to the party!

Tried the link and its worked for me though...

If it's still going, I wouldn't mind throwing my hat into the arena. I got the corebook and that other book, (the IH/ItS/HotE equivalent, with the dreadnought and such).

I'll possibly go simple, like a tactical marine or something from the Mentor Legion

You are welcome to join. :)

I would like to join your Killteam

I have Core, Rites, First Foundings, Honor the chapter.

Would like to play a Blood raven Apothecarius.

Please let me know how to register at nerdbound.

Well, I'm still waiting for the confirmation e-mail..sure is taking long..

I'm very interested! :)

I have all the books, and I am familiar with the rules as I played through a 2-year campaign of tabletop Deathwatch.

Since all of the other specialties have been taken, I would like to apply for the position of the team's heavy weapons specialist AKA Devastator, from the Novamarines chapter.

That sounds really odd... Don't have clue why its taking this long. I'll see if I can get some of the good folks over at Nerdbound.com to take a look at this.

Hey guys, so I'm a newb at this and I'd like to know how big of a deal stealth is? If we're going to be less-than-stealthy I'd like to be more supportive with my Librarian in that regard. From the looks of it, the only ones who get to remove the penalty for Concealment and Silent Move are the Raven Guard.

Is it okay to be a bit more bombastic?

its perfectly ok to be bombastic. My intention is that I will probably try and drop you into missions that lean towards what you are actually good at. Don't make sense to send a column of heavy armor for recon purposes after all.

So basically I think that several missions will have oppertunities for stealthy-actions, but so far no mission requires it.

Sweet. I hope you don't mind, but I'm gonna take a whack at a custom chapter and provide that to you as soon as I can for your approval.

Do so. I'll be looking forward to it. LOVE custom Chapters! :D

Gurkhal: any word from the forum mods? Because I still haven't received any e-mail confirmation..

forget that, it worked now

If there is still room, I would be interested in playing.

I made up a custom Chapter of all female Astartes (YEAH I SAID IT). Anyways, they excel at being Apothecaries. I was thinking I could try my hand at it.

I posted a discussion thread about them - search: Daughters of Death

You are welcome to join but I am afraid that I won't take on female Astartes. I'm not ready to break with canon to this degree I'm afraid.

Couldn't find anything about the Daughters of Death however. :( If you've got a link from greater Search Skillz than I have I would be grateful.

I wasn't dead set on that. I am down to play whatever.

Having a hard time registering. What are the answers to the anti-spambot questions?
