I am very curious to these terrain cards, wondering how much variety and how they will work/mechanics. Since most of the spaces on boards are larger than the Adventure card packs, I assume these cards will be larger than Adventure cards, but not as large as alt.endings and similar cards for NPCs, Toads, Characters, etc.

I am wondering if the terrain cards will have a life/other uses/be included in other expansions, as I see the possible answer to the many queries about the final board corner expansion.

Could terrain cards be utilized to create an ocean environment?

I can see cards with ocean spaces, and island spaces of varying sorts, being played out into the space between corner boards - in effect, similar to the 'boardlets' idea I've mentioned before.

Since the cards could be randomly used, the ocean would always be different (island or other features in different areas due to how they could be randomly laid out).

Oh well, just putting word to swirling thoughts in my head.

The image on the news page for The Firelands (the group shot showing the Crags Terrain card) has the cards at the correct scale. The cards are the same size as the Adventure deck.

I can still work with this theory!
