Objectives in the Refresh Phase

By Dark3lement, in Star Wars: The Card Game - Rules Questions

Example:

I have a unit with 1 damage counter on board.

I lost one objective.

In the refresh phase I reveal Questionable Contacts "After u refresh" damage this objective to move one damage from a target friendly unit to a target enemy unit.

Can i use this effect immediatly the turn i reveal it ? or does this only work on cards who specifically state " after your refreh phase ends"

this has been FAQ'd but i have trouble understanding the wording.

thx; :)

Short answer: You can use objectives like Questionable Contacts and A Dark Time for the Rebellion on the same turn that they are revealed.

Long answer: I don't feel like typing this out. :D

The easiest way to think of it is that the "after you refresh" action game text follows the same guidelines as all other actions; in the action window. It just so happens that the action (framework) window is after tokens are removed and objectives are replaced, meaning that it can be used the turn it comes into play.

Except that After you refresh Reactions (not Actions) do not happen during the action window (nor are Reactions in general restricted to action windows).

Refresh phase goes as such:

- Phase begins

-Remove focus tokens

-Remove shields

-Replace destroyed objectives

-(After you refresh Reactions happen here)

-Action window

-Phase ends

I totally understand, but for someone just beginning, it might be easier to associate it with something they already understand.

Fair enough. I just prefer trying to teach the actual timing to avoid creating confusion from misunderstood rules in the future.
