I started playing Descent with my son not too long ago, and we've reached the 3rd adventure in Journeys in the Dark. Can anyone tell me what it means when it says that Kisst-Haa cannot be harmed by normal attacks? Is that only melee? Magical? Thanks.

I just played that level. Kisst ha is not harmed with any type of attack not only melee. however it can be killed as the game proceeds

Kisst-Haa is immune to any damage until the triggering events have been met. I think there are 3 event markers that need to be stepped on for the "crystal" surrounding Kisst-Haa to shatter and make her vulnerable to attack. Her immunity is balanced by the fact that she is bound to the crystal tree, i.e. rubble tokens, at the center of the room. It's a very fun dungeon, although there are some tough areas if the heros are particularly bold or greedy.
