I think my friend and I have been playing all wrong. I would like to know what card goes where and when

If I play flame-kissed and kill a character where does the character go and where does the flame-kissed go?

I play blood magic ritual on a character if the blood magic ritual is destroyed where does it go where does the character go. If the character is killed where does the character go where does the BMR go?

These are just two examples that I can think of right now thanks for the help

When a character is killed it goes to the dead pile. This will me for military claim or triggered and passive effects that may kill a character. Attachments that are on characters that are killed do not go to the dead pile. the only way this could occur is if there was a "Deathbound" keyword on the card. Death bound means that that card will have to be placed in the dead pile. I dont know of any attachments with this key word though, just events and characters.

What about locations ?

Only characters that are killed, or cards with "deathbound" go in the dead pile

ALL other cards go in the discard pile.

If something says "discard" it goes in the discard pile.

Kill a character = Dead pile

Discard a card = Discard pile

Kill -> Dead

Discard -> Discard

Deathbound means if the card would normally be placed in the discard pile place it in the dead pile instead.
