So errr? What is it?

how do i get it?

is it free?

how do you play x-wing on it? Etc etc

i want to get some play time, so would be interested if someone can help me out

If you make an account on there and post asking for help you should have no trouble finding people who would be thrilled to show you the ropes and make sure you get everything installed properly. Vassal is a great tool but not super intuitive to use. at first.

Me and my buddy put the youtube video up, If you need any help on this please let me know, I would be happy to get you started. Vassal is a great way to meet players from all over the world. Some of the best players are online, so it's a great resource to learn more about the game.

When I go to add the extensions, it says I dont have a usable program installed?

First go here ( http://www.vassalengine.org ) then download vassal 3.2.8

Then go here ( http://www.vassalengine.org/wiki/Module:Star_Wars:_X-Wing_Miniatures_Game ) and download all the files under 4.6.0

Decide where you download the new 4.6.0 main module file. Vassal doesn’t have specified folder for all its files. It just loads where you tell it where your files are.
Create a folder in that same place you chose for the main module. Name the folder this: Star_Wars_X-Wing_Miniatures_Game-4.6.0_ext
Move all the .vmdx files that you downloaded from the 4.6.0 section into the folder you just created.
open vassal, go in file menu, choose open module, click on your main module file. It's the file that ends in .vmod
nothing else required. it will automagically load every extension.
