Enter the Unknown is Unknown?

By Zanfire, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Hi all, as many fans of this new great game, I'm collecting all the available manuals of EotE. I'm from Italy and I usually buy the manuals through Amazon.it or Amazon.co.uk .

I was very happy about the new Enter the Unknown book, and ready to buy it, but it seems to not be available anywhere in Europe, and the shipping costs from the U.S. are proibitive.

Does perhaps anyone knows if this is just a momentary problem, and this manual will be in stock again soon, or should I just resign to buy it from America?

I hope such a question is not wrong for this forum.

Bye and may the Force be with you all.

As far as I've heard (on these very forums) it is starting to arrive in gamers' hands on both sides of the sea. I live in Sweden and it arrived to me a couple of days ago (purchased from a Swedish store).

That is odd. If it travels from China by boat to the US, why would they then send it back across another ocean? Why not simply rail ship it to Europe? I would think it would be faster and cheaper.

I got mine from a local game shop in the UK.

Amazon is pretty good usually but they seem to be having serious issues with FFG stuff lately.

Unfortunately, Suns of Fortune seems to be following the same trend on Amazon.co.uk. I'm trying to get all the books that I can whilst I can afford it, but by the time AoR comes out, money will be tighter and I'll have to restrict myself to the core books and the occasional supplement.

At this rate, Amazon will have Unknown, Fortune and Covenants at the same time, meaning one large sum out of my account at once, instead of a smaller amount every month or so.

Has anyone in Australia got this yet?

I have had good experiences with http://www.leisuregames.com

To be honest, I haven't ordered FFG stuff, but I guess their service covers the whole load. I had ordered some FATE stuff and had it within 8 working days in Belgium.

In the end I was forced to order Enter the Unknown from an UK store. The shipping costs are much lower than American's ones, but still quite hard to keep up with, on the long run. I payed a total of €32,90 for a €21.90 book (before taxes and shipping, sure) .

I see how Suns of Fortune is actually not available on Amazon.EU, but I placed the order when it was still signed as obtainable and actually Amazon.it tell me I'll receive it between 27dec'13 and 2gen'14. Let's hope this is not just a "joke".

I'll definitively check out http://www.leisuregames.com/ , thanks. Every help in finding a good place to buy will be appreciated.

I really hope things between FFG and Amazon will settle, or I fear I'll be forced to give up on my collectionist intent and to rely on more "underground" resources <_< .

Whatever you do, don’t look for a job in logistics… :)
