Tinkerer automating potion

By NastyNate, in Talisman

Hello everyone,

Just checking to see if this is legit:

Can the tinkerer turn a potion into an automated follower an utilize it's benefit each turn without discarding? The potion is considered an object, but it seems that this would almost be "too" beneficial. :)

Thanks!

great question.

On Page 12 of the Talisman it states that - "Both Objects and Magic Objects are classed as Objects.", so yes it is a valid strategy.

If anyone has a problem with a "potion" becoming a follower, then just consider that it is the bottle that is being automated.

Excellent TalismanIsland, thanks for the quick response!

I guess as the Tinkerer my strategy will be to get gold and buy a ton of potions that I can use every turn. That will make my friends happy. :)

Hmmm... I'm sorry, but I think I misunderstood your question.

I was just answering that Potions can become automated Followers, however in order to gain the benefit of any Potion you have to drink it and then place the empty vessel on the discard pile. If you "drink" a potion, then you no longer have a potion to drink on a subsequent turn.

Something like a sword however, gives you its bonus without any requirements.

Thanks for the clarity TalismanIsland
