On CompForce: If I recall, WEG basically stated that the Army, the Navy, and maybe (however unlikely) even the Stormtrooper Corps might be primarily concerned with going about whatever 'has' to be done, with a perfunctory " for the Emperor " thrown in there... but CompForce would actually mean it . Heck, this might actually be an interesting one-line summation of CompForce, referring to their Assault wing: " they were almost the only combat personnel in the Imperial military who believed that their counterparts in Observ were simply there to learn how the Army worked ."

Besides the inevitable looking-over-one's-shoulder tensions for the regular military, they also noticed how much pull CompForce seemed to have (or believe themselves entitled to) as far as requisitioning supplies and medical attention... and according to CompForce's current Wookiepedia entry they were directly embedded into the Army, meaning that unlike the Stormtrooper Corps and the Navy -- although the ISB had its own open and covert political officers embedded there -- the Army was stuck with CompForce.

As an interesting note re: MKX's summation of the ISB, prior canon is that Imperial Intelligence had a more objective/neutral tendency than the ISB.
