System Upgrade- Sensor Jammer Under used?

By Suchibu, in X-Wing

I have been playing X-Wing every week since May when I picked up the core set. I try new squads every other week and different upgrade cards. I use advance sensors and advance fire control on my B-Wings. I want to try sensor jammer but I'm really giving the attacker a hit on my B-Wing if they have a focus. I know the idea is to force them to spend the focus on attack and have nothing for defense. A lower pilot skill would be best for this card because they would more then likely attack last thus forcing the action on the attacker.

Anyone use it all the time?

Sensor Jammer is great on a Shuttle. Gives it quite a bit more defense.

The biggest problem I have with Sensor Jammer is that it means passing over Advanced Sensors AND Fire-Control Systems, both of which are astonishing upgrades. Honestly, I think that Sensor Jammer should have been a 2 cost instead of a 4.

I agree here. The shuttle is the one place the Advanced Sensors aren't particularly potent and FCS is good, but you certainly aren't making the sacrifice you would with the B-Wing if you take Sensor Jammers. They don't fit into my particular loadouts, but I have used them and they are fun to watch your opponent curse at.

Someone made a tanky Ibitsam with elusiveness and sensor jammer (and maybe a stealth device).

You recieve a stress to force them to reroll a hit, then you can reroll one of your dice in defense :D

I did try sensor jammer out on Ten Numb, with marksman too. Vs ties forces them to evade or you are getting a crit through (if you crit), so less focus to go around. Worked well when I tried it but my opponent wasn't a veteran swarm flyer.

On a shuttle its done alright, and if you happen to have a certain interceptor pilot who doesn't let enemy pilots use their focus tokens, it might become a lot better...
