I'm not sure this is completely competitive (to many points on upgrades) but I want to try this:

I prefer expert handling. Barrel Roll with a large base ship is incredible, especially when you have a high pilot skill and a rear firing arc. You can move backwards or forwards and can easily get out of arc.

This combo could also be very effective. With PtL you could use boost to get into a range 1 position and focus to boost your Autoblaster. I need to try this one some time.

Yeah, I really wanted PtL, but I wanted the Barrel Roll More. One of my favorite things to do with PtL is Boost, then Barrel Roll. But that is pretty much just Soontir Fell w/ PtL or Vader w/ Engine Upgrade. I do dream about getting a Fire Spray to do it.

I'm not knocking EH. But Daredevil is amazing on Boba, because while EH lets you adjust on a very + kind of plane - forward, back, left, right, it doesn't change the angle of your base. Doing so is a huge advantage in a ship that has a front and rear fire arc.
Having engine to boost, OR being able to randomly whip your ship 90 degrees means that you will basically never find yourself without a shot, will never have someone park with an unanswerable shot at your exposed sides, etc. Oh, you thought you were clever guessing where I'd land and parking where you have a shot? Allow me to flip 90 degrees either direction and rebut.
EH is great, I like EH, but with Boba's ability to flip his banks either direction, I think the ability to further adjust your angles with boosts and DD turns is even more devastating.
II'm trying to remember, doesn't daredevil give you damage if you don't have boost though? Or I suppose maybe that's negated since an engine upgrade technically adds the boost icon?
It does, but engine does in fact add the boost icon to your ship's action bar, negating the issue.
