Attacking Objectives that are not defended

By tactician93612, in Star Wars: The Card Game - Rules Questions

(Q). If I attack an objective that is not defended, do I get the unopposed bonus added too?

Namely, would a unit without the blast damage deal a point of damage to the objective

because it was awarded the unopposed bonus?

Now, this question was asked from a local player and friend of mine. My answer

was yes, the objective would take -=2=- damage total.

I'm reaching out for your responses just to clarify what I stated above. And if I'm

wrong, I'm definitely up for being corrected!

Much thanks fellow players!!! -= Happy Holidays! =-

A unit with no blast damage icons would get the one unopposed damage.

So, for clarification purposes... no blast dmg icons = 1 damage PLUS the regular damage, as well...

thus, 2 damage total inflicted?

No it is 1 damage. The one unopposed is the only damage that could be done when the attacking unit has no blast damage icons. There is no regular damage if it has no blast icons.

Super! Thanks for that clarification... :)

To be more specific, you check for unopposed damage after all units in the engagement have been focussed to strike. If at that point there are no defending units left in the engagement but there is still at least one attacking unit, then you deal the unopposed damage.
