Remote server, Scoring Agendas

By Nazull, in Android: Netrunner Rules Questions

in the rule book it says u can only have 1 asset or Agenda in a remote server at any time.

If you score the Agenda dose it stay in that server meaning u cant place any more agendas or assets there now so to score a new agenda u will need to make a new remote server.

When you score an agenda it goes into your "score area." After you score the agneda you can install other assets or agendas into that remote server.

Thx

I had thought it was that as making a new server each time flet ad bit too much and a waste of ICE. :)

I'm just getting into Netrunner now (as in played twice) and I'm SURE I'm missing some subtlety here, but instead of building multiple remote servers, why wouldn't the corp player build one super server? The rising cost to install doesn't seem like much of a deterrent and probably offset by having rezzed ice from previous runs. Yeah, the runner will know what ice is there, but it won't make much of a difference if he doesn't have all the ice-breakers necessary to break them. What am I missing?

I've only played with the core suggested decks, Jinteki and Shaper.

multiple remote servers allow you to support multiple Assets, and allow you to bluff which one the agenda may or may not be in. You're right though, some builds do lend themselves to a "Tower of Power" layout.

You're more likely to see the 'super-server' in HB or Weyland, as they more often have the cash to support it.

In Weyland is particularly effective due to advanceable ICE like Hadrians/Ice Wall, and the power of a surprise Archer to ruin the runner's day.

Agreed with Feesh. However if the runner is doing his job right, the corp should be too poor to be building huge servers.

Wouldn't necessarily go that far - not every runner archetype needs to be about resource denial.

I've run several games against Weyland and HB with Noise, and won, in spite of the Corp having 20-30 credits and me rarely getting above 10. Cheap 'breakers, 'suckers, and multi-access, plus general disruption and destruction is where Anarch is at ;)
