Taking a red maneuver. If you have a stress token and you reveal a red maneuver, your opponent gets to change your dial to any non-red maneuver. So, if you have Tycho, never take a red maneuver.

There's also a number of abilities that are limited by stress as well. Not just actions, but other abilities, like Jan's +1 attack die.
