If one of your zones is being attacked and the attacked zone has one development and you have Ariel in play.

Ariel has the ability to lower the cost for the by one for each development in that zone.

But what if the development you want to ambush with is the only development in the zone and it has an ambush cost of 2.

So the questions is what comes first?

Do you count the development first or to you turn the ambush card over first?

You always pay costs first, so even a single development ambush costs 1 less.
