Rakata

any ideas for stating a few npcs of this species. I don't have experiences with previous systems so I don't know how they were stated there but I know they were in the Unknown Regions book.

I wouldn't worry about coming up with any special traits for the Rakata. Most NPCs in the books (particularly Minions) don't list any species traits, so for Rakata NPCs I wouldn't worry about it.

Just simply give them what numbers work best for the scenario you're building, just as you would a Human NPC.

The Rakata are force-sensitive aren't they?

One way I've been simulating force-sense from NPCs is rolling a force die and using that to determine if the check has a boost or a setback, depending on how I wanted things to go and what side the user is (light/dark).

They actually lost all connection to the force after they overused it. I'm pretty sure it stuck that way, but I didn't fully aid the good Rakata in KotOR, so I don't know if they became all force sensitive again.

When are you setting your campaign? I could've sworn the Rakata were extinct even by the time of the prequels.

It would be kinda fun to to discover one that was frozen in carbonite or something. Kinda like the discovery of the Prothean teammate in Mass Effect.

Well in "The Unknown Regions" source book from WoTC Saga it detailed an area of space called the Rakatan archipelago in which a few isolated groups had managed to survive. That book has some very interesting fluff.

Well, if the GM wants a few Rakata to show up as NPCs in his game, then for the sake of his game, the Rakata weren't extinct after all ;)

Kinda similar to how a certain MMO has an Ewok running around a few thousand years prior to the Battle of Endor, which was the point when Ewoks become a better known species by the galactic populace. Before that point, it's just a Wookiee with a serious case of dwarfism :D
