So to start things off I was playing an Air/Chaos Fio deck I put together a pretty long time ago as my tournament deck.
I went into this tournament with two main goals, 1 to prove Fio is a beast, and 2 to get a chaos life counter since chaos is my favorite symbol
Also this is all from memory since I dont take notes I just felt like I'd share
Singles:
Round 1: NjBrock - Yuri (Life/?)
Game 1: Game one was a pretty standard game for Fio, spam foundations all over the place to set up a feline spike kill, fio form, empty his hand, had no attacks in GY for battle prowess, and fully multipled spike to the face.
Game 2: This game was more interesting, as I had defender loop setup with a feline spike and 2 mega spike in hand, I start the megaspike loop by sending one which in turn gets it blocked and reversaled with a demon cradle. My options at this point were let demon cradle hit and -2 to all my attacks, which would mean mega spike loop would take forever and my 1 checks might kill me, or I block it and again have problems looping because of all the stuff in my pool. I decide to defender on the demon cradle, pick up my mega spike, then play Feline Spike fully multipled into him with no hand left at 6 damage a hit, defender to pick up the original and first copy, and play it fully multipled again for the kill

Round 2: Ben L. (Ziephnir) - Hanzo Kick
Game 1: Had my tag along when it mattered, ran him over when the time came.
Game 2: This game I believe by turn 2 while I had 2 cards in hand, no mid block and no tag, (but he had no bitter rivals so I figured he wouldnt try) he decided to kick loop me with 3 kicks in his hand and there was just nothing I could do, stupid hanzo
Game 3: This game was a decent length, we each played out control pieces for a while, however, I started the game with 2 tag alongs in hand, only to draw the other two on turn 2, so yes I started turn 2 with 4 tag alongs in hand, I spent one getting Lotm back or something and played out some momentum gen, and feline spiked when the time was right

Round 3: Ivey (Kirara/Catspider) - Promo Alex
Game 1: This matchup really made me hate Kuzuryu Reppa, its just so annoying, anyway tag alonged alex's first attempt at his form, got reppa'd a few times, managed to keep myself alive, went for broke on my turn with feline spikes for the kill
Game 2: Very similar to game 1, tried to rush me and take me out before I could retaliate, managed to survive and explode next turn

Round 4: Scott "Scott Gaines" Gaines - Order Obnoxious Frogase
There were three 3-0's, Me, Ben S, and Keenan and so they played eachother and I got paired down against Scott (who was 2-1 after losing to Ben S)
Game 1/2: Scott had a good deck but slower decks with low health arent exactly a bad matchup for me, so there was some shenanigans but it was bacsically the unstoppable no handed fio steamroll machine games 1 and 2

Tournament 4-0 Swiss Champ Tied with Ben Shoemaker w/ Donovan
So top 8 is announced (see the other topic for the t8 list, I will just say it was 8 people from our local atlanta playerbase :-P
We have a 1.5 hour break to eat, come back to play
Top 8: Monte - Earth Leona
Game 1: So I actually had a problem going into this match, in that I wasnt feeling very well at the start, and so I decided to try and get it over with at a good pace, bad idea, game 1 while distracted I made some dumb play mistakes, 45 damage Sardine's hits me and I cant block and survive :-
Game 2: This game starts out similarly and I see a win in site but I decide to politely take a break to recoup before continuing. Anyway the game continues and its time for shenanigans, he has 2 Amy's and 2 SoC on the board, I have 2 Feline Spikes, 2 Mega Spikes, 1 Family Heirloom in hand, and defender loop on the board. First seal hits Fio's F, so no emptying his hand for me, he has 3 cards in hand at this point, so after heirloom I play Feline Spike, check a 3 which nerfs all but 2 foundations, multiple 1 since I had no momentum and just a lord of the makai in play, all I really wanted was to mentally unstable and pick everything back up while baiting the amys at my spikes (since 14 life he needed to redux em to survive), so first spike gets both amy's and goes down to 0, second spike I mentally unstable, he doesnt have a high so I get all three cards back up, a clear pool, and no amy's to worry about, so I begin defender looping, hes at 6 thanks to the feline spike multiple that hit, gains 5 life with battle prowess off defenders attack side in my discard pile, I check 1, pass, check another pass, I need a few more to kill, knowing that out of 30+ cards left in my deck there is only a single 1 left and no 3's and all I have ready is my lord of the makai, next check, 1, game over

Overall Results, I'm not sure what place, probably 5th or 6th behind Ben who had similar problems, stuff happens, I'm not bent up about it, you all now know Fio is a beast haha
Also didnt get my chaos life counter though I may still get it from the member of the team who did pick it up.
After the tournament ended, there were some angry people, lots of drinking, ended up to be janky in teams the next day and got back to the hotel around 3am.

There isnt much to this since we dropped after the first round, there were 4 teams, 3 of which from atlanta, and it was round robin winner take all, no top cuts

Game 1: Stomped chun-li in the ground before she had a chance to realize she'd just been knocked the **** out :-P
Game 2: Coulnd't keep mentally unstable on the board, and was facing down 4 gorgeous teams with 3 rejections in the graveyard, never saw defender and every time I played feline spike even though he had no hand, 3 rejections came back to haunt me
Game 3: Not the greatest draws in this game, chun-li starts off just throwing attacks every which-a-way and I take some significant early damage, I go down to 1 and havnt been able to play out enough momentum gen to kill since I have to hold a mid and high block + feline spike reversal or I know I'm gonna die, so I hold on to em and play what I can, trying to bait something out that fills his card pool and lets me reversal my feline spike which was my only chance of coming back from one life, the hoyoku-sen is played, multipled, blocked, reversal fails (I think he may have sealed it since he sat there for a bit before actually going for the kill and built up some staging area advantage while I am barely holding onto life not able to play much)
1-2 Chun-Li
Scott Gains also loses and donny/zangief doesnt finish, but we know that the guys we played most werent going to lose to the other 2 teams, so Ben and Scott go to get cigarettes and I am left alone just chillen.
So final results, Fio swiss champ, beast, end
