AAAB list and upgrades

Hello all,

This is the list I am currently running and having fun with.

  • Green Squadron Pilot, Concussion Missiles, Push the Limit
  • Green Squadron Pilot, Concussion Missiles, Push the Limit
  • Green Squadron Pilot, Concussion Missiles, Push the Limit
  • Blue Squadron Pilot

I do not think it is super competitive, but it works fine. I Try and alpha strike an key ship or cripple it with the missiles then my B-wings starts getting in the way or close by, so it gets focused on. This gives my A-wings the time to get into proper dogfight positions were they excel. And most of the time this works, or gives me close games.

But since last game I have been wondering it it would not be better to take this variation of the list.

Any opinions or advice on the current list or the thought up new list?

do you like working with the missiles? I would maybe try 2 greens with Vet and engine upgrades, and one green with just he engine, then a blue with advanced sensors and an engine upgrade. This makes your greens true hit and run, with the move in PS. your BLue can now get an action up front and with the added boost, can move a little more.

you could drop the Engine from the B, and the 2 vets giving you 6 points and add 3 - expert handlings to the A. giving you some dodge ability.

engine upgrade does nothing for the A-wings. do you mean stealth device?

I would probably fly:

Proto + stealth

Green + PTL + Concussion

Green + PTL + Concussion

Dagger + Advanced Sensors

You have a PS 1 blocker that will probably be your last ship standing. You still have a mini alpha if you give him a missile instead of stealth. Dagger gives you much better opportunity to bring down the pain of your 4 red dice before a good number of pilots. 4 red dice + TL/focus should be enough to finish something off and swing the numbers game in your way.

You could also drop the dagger back down and have 3pts left for more stuff.

You could try this and combine the Alpha Strike with the B's coming into range by splitting the force.

This is actually pretty decent. Only a Tempest list could beat this squad.

Red

= 100 points, PS 3, 4, and 5.

And you have Biggs, which is a big deal.

I want to play with cards I have (next to none empire cards), so no stealth devices for me. :(

I like the AABB list but I only have 1 at the moment but I could get a second tough. And in a couple of games found out that when taking one shot secondaries you need enough to vaporize a ship. I do not think 2 concussions are worth it, but what are peoples options on assault missiles? I thought they were pretty dangerous when I was at the receiving side of them (even as rebel).

Does anyone have an idea what to do with the points by dropping the missiles all together?
