1. Can I activate my Red Lots of the Sun in response to an Amy's Assistance and negate it regardless of which effect they are going to use? Because technically it is an effect that commits a card in your staging?

2. How does the Mard "Meat eater" work with multiples as far as paying the cost?

1. yes, its been ruled that if an ability has the ability to commit/remove/mess with your staging area red lotus can negate it. since its not decided which part they intend to use when you have the ability to negate the ability.

2. the multiple ability's text in the tournament rules says add any momentum discarded for this ability into your card pool as copies of the attack. meat eater will eat up the chance to have 1 more multiple copy

or changing the the "starting with" box to "containing"
