What's your best score for BR - Shadow of the Past so far?

By Figo3434, in The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game

No rule mistakes, just a huge amount of luck regarding the cards you're drawing. Something must be wrong with my encounter deck, as I keep drawing multiple hide tests, cards with the doomed keyword etc. However, I managed to win two games in 4 turns out of 10, with a result of 70 and 77 points. Perhaps if I play a few dozen more games I might also get some lucky draws to pusgh my result down to 60.

My higscore in Morgul Vale (2 players): 87

:)

And one of my hero was Mirlonde.

Only 3 rounds (first round not engage Murzah, second round kill Murzah, and third round kill Alcaron -Legolas + Black arrow + Hands Upon a Bow- and Nazgul -Bow Ranger + Ally Ranger + Infighting + damage by tactics cards: Spearman, Goblin Cleaver and normal attack-)

Sorry, this is not the post, but i'm happy. I have just won.

me (Mirlonde · Elrond · Denethor): 34 threat + 0 damage

friend (Legolas · Bard · Thalin): 34 + 0

20 points by 3 rounds

1 victory (black arrow).

Total score: 87 points

PD: woooohoooo

Not to derail the topic too much, but the problem with dismissing two-handed play is that, from a competitive perspective, one could argue that a solo player has the edge if they can see all cards available and plan accordingly while a multiplayer player cannot (and essentially has a built-in disability from the ill-defined table talk rules). This is especially true because having more players by itself does not give an advantage, especially for some scenarios, where it actually makes it more challenging.

Personally, I enjoy two-handed play not because it makes things easier but because it opens up more creative deck building options and combo possibilities. Then again, I don't really care about score at all, so that's a whole separate issue.

Which is why that when you play competetively, you opposite a team the same size as your own. Solo only compares to other solo players.

My comments are also more directed towards the point of view that playing two-handed compares directly with a regular 2-player game. Which it does not.
