What is the Rebels' most damaging use of 33 points?

In a thread about Biggs+Luke+Wedge, I got to wondering if Wedge was the best pilot to fly alongside the Tattooine Twosome. In the fleet archetype from which I'm working, Wedge is 32-33 points, so I was wondering if there's another pilot that could slide into his role fairly easily.

We can probably ignore the A-Wings, as we want consistent damage more than survivability.

Blue Squadron + 11 (I like Adv. Sensors + Engine Upgrade + Ion Cannon + 1)
Dagger Squadron + 9 (I like HLC + FCS)
Ibtisam + 5 (I like PTL + FCS)
Ten Nunb + 2 (I like FCS)

Gold Squadron + 15 (I like Ion Turret + Proton Torps + APT)

Grey Squadron + 13 (I like Ion Turret + 2x Proton Torps)

"Dutch" Vander + 10 (I like Ion Turret + R5-K6 + 3)

Horton Salm + 8 (I like Ion Turret + R2 Astromech + 2)

Roark Garnet + 14 (I like Blaster Turret + Recon Spec. + Title + Engine Upgrade)

Kyle Katarn + 12 (I like Recon Spec + Title + Ion Turret + DTF)
Jan Ors + 8 (I like Nien Nunb + Ion Turret + Expert Handling)

Outer Rim Smuggler + 6 (I like Intel Agent + Navigator + APL)

We're looking for a ship that beats out

Wedge Antilles + 4 (PTL + R2 Astromech)

I'd fly Kyle+ Recon+title+blaster turret+determination not only cause delivers lots of pain but cause his generous ability makes the squad more 'damaging'. And it's cheaper so you can get initiative and Luke shoots first than Howl, Biggs than Krassis...

i'm not sold on the idea that bad dial+ION turret > A-wing +PTL on the damage department ;)

I included the HWK pilots as they tend to deal more damage through their allies than through themselves.

Roark, for instance, gives Biggs or Luke a massive initiative bonus, which helps keep Biggs alive longer by killing off the threats before they can kill Biggs. It also ensures that Biggs can shoot the turn he dies.

That being said, if you can make a 33 point A-Wing that can out-damage Wedge Antilles, be my guest!

Tycho with PTL and a missile probably could match him if flown properly (Get on someone's tail, combine focus and TL at range one till death, rinse repeat) But it wouldn't be the consistent guarantee of Wedge.

That said, I think Dutch or Kyle would be your best bets since they would allow Luke and Biggs to get regular double modified attacks, and I know you didn't want us to focus on survivability but the extra focus opportunity could keep biggs around longer which means more shots from him.

Tycho is fantastic. I know a wings have a bad reputation because of their two attack dice, but opportunist is coming out soon, and I think it could work well with him.

I don't know about opportunist on Tycho. The fact that it can't be used if you have stress tokens negates a big chunk of his awesomeness since if he wants to use it every turn he loses the option of taking whites while stressed without penalty his ability gives him. and his high pilot skill means finding a target without a focus or evade might be tricky.

Now Tycho with PTL supported by opportunist Green squadron pilots would be amazing. But that's drifting off topic.

Luke + R2-F2 + Elusiveness ^^

I'd try Kyle + Recon + Blaster Turret + Squad Leader + Moldy Crow - 33pts. You can pass off a focus + another action to give both x wings TL and Focus, which will be great for damage output. For rebel squads, I'm finding giving TL + Focus can be very devestating, and is worth investing points into. Those 3 dice rock.

Isn't Target Lock + Focus at Range one like a 90% chance of 3 hits, and Target Lock + Focus + Homing missile similar chance for 4 hits? That's extremely consistent... and running a Green Squadron w/ Ptl and Homing missile frees up 6 points for use with a APT somewhere else in the list.
