Ok, I've been talking about this with people for awhile now, but it seems that with the economic climate, the store is only willing to host a regional if we can guarantee the minimum 16 participants. If we had one scheduled for say.... the first weekend in June (6th is Saturday) how many people might be interested in making it? Would a different weekend work better?

We're in the same boat. As much as I'd love to host a regional, our store cannot justify the cost for the event based on what we currently expect for player turnout. Last year we didn't get 16 players, and some of the ones who played last year aren't playing anymore or likely to travel from the East Coast again to play -- even if they did win.

I can tell you right now that I wouldn't be able to make the trek outstate to your (or any other) Regional this year, and I'm not sure if any of my group would be able to attend either. I'll point them this way if they intend to try and make on this year.

That would be superb. I'd be willing to help subsidize part of the cost to the store in order to get an event down here, but without 16 participants, it doesn't even count under the new rules, soooooo...............

As of right now, probably not. Easter activities on Saturday night, but I'm not sure of timing. We will see.

As to managing something pseudo-on-topic, I would consider making the trip down, depending how the date falls with my sister's move.

Nah, we've tried to at least teach her to play but she refuses. Greg's wife played in the first Regional we had down here though.... I still remember her ****** me with Bandit Lords. Ugh.

Oh man. Bandit Lord. Those were the days. I still think there needs to be reprints of all the Champs cards. Except First Snow. I NEVER want that card back. Also, sad pandas on Kelsey. It'd be cool if Greg brought his wife.

Actually Sam, you guys should come down to the SW MO Regional, that way we could get closer to that magic number of 16 players. Also, Will, you seriously need to get your cousin to play. Make him a deck centered around creepy looking art too, like To Be a Wolf. Seriously, is Bran's face melting?! Or did he just have a stroke or something?

I don't think Kennon wants Mid MO players to play in SW MO.

I bet if it gets him the numbers he needs to convince all parties to hold a Regional, he'll be glad to see you. He might even give you a candy bar.
