Blood Magic Ritual

I have a question about this card.

It's an attachment without any keywords.

So can you use it on characters that have "No Attachments" on them? How about Characters that say "No Attachments except X" does it matter?

If not what is the timing on how it resolves, meaning if I use it to bring back a No Attachments guy at the start of marshaling, assuming that I am the first player, can I then immediately play a dupe so that I just discard the dupe?

You can bring a "No Attachments" character back from the dead pile, but the attachment will fail to attach to it. The attachment, therefore, immediately leaves play - immediately killing the character you brought back. You can't play or Marshall any card before the "No Attachments" card goes back to the dead pile. The only thing you could do is use a "save" Response that is already on the table (or a "save" event that is in your hand) when the attachment comes out of Shadows.

bringing the big dragon back would be nice with that combo. Bear in mind, his response wouldn't trigger unless you put him back in your hand and played him again.

ahh, you got me there. Still running At the Palace of Sorrows and Pulled From the Rhoyne to bounce him back to hand multiple times, contemplating a Coldhands 1x so that I can scoop the existing copy, then play the second one from my hand for yet another uberkneel. Three turns running with the whole board knelt has been maddening to some opponents.

Definitely frustrating, I'm sure. I should look at putting my Asshai deck back together with Lord of Light, Protect Us just for things like that.

"Oh. You played your big dragon to kneel everything? Nothing kneels, and he's back in your hand... care to try again?"

Also takes care of pesky Castellan. I don't have to return to hand (wouldn't want to for him), but it's nice to be able to cancel the Limited response.
