When squad building for imperials, I often come down to 24 points to finish off the list, and am stuck deciding between 2 Academy Ties or a Shuttle + Vader. Actually, it is quite fun just throwing in the Vader Shuttle in place of 2 ties on just about any list.

Besides the popular Vader's Escort, which is 3 Academy ties, 3 obsidian ties, and Shuttle + Vader, what are some fun squads you guys have tried that include the Vader Shuttle? Did you have success with the squad? Would you rather have had 2 Academy Ties in place of the Vader Shuttle?

The intel agent makes it feel a bit different, since some reliance is on the shuttle, but the same principals.

I like giving my vader shuttle a gunner so i can use his ability twice a turn.

That's definitely another option. Of course, it comes down to how you want the squad to run.

My challenge is now going to be to include either a Vader Shuttle or PTL Saber into a variety of standard lists, replacing what would mormally be 2 Academy Ties, which is my usual go-to.

I'm thinking, Kath + Upgrades, Vader Shuttle, 2 academy ties. This is in place of the 4 academy ties I usually end up with.

I'm not too much of a fan of Vader on the Shuttle, honestly. If the Empire ever gets a crewed ship as cheap as the HWK-290, then we can talk.
