thought I would post this up and see what you guys thought of it. If you happen to note there is no dish to this guy, it's because I replaced it with a sensor Dome, just to be different.

All done with Vallejo paints and citadel dullcote for a finish.

I have some other repaints I will drop in at some time, but thought this was a good first item to show.

the sensor dome was really easy. I cleaned off the area and then glued a piece of card stock to the top (A punchout piece of the movement dial lol) I then used some putty to cover it and then painted it. then dullcoted it..

I can do a few mods now and again, and this was just so I had something that didn't look like the Falcon.. I like to be able to differentiate ships on the table. Hard to do sometimes without the numbers.

Really like the coloring, totally looks like something a smuggler would fly.

The sensor dome from the old MPC Star Destroyer kit also fits nicely for this sort of use too.

Thanks.. if I had known about that dome I would have loved to use it.. lol.. heck if I find something I like better I may redo it.. but for now it's good enough for my needs..
I'm glad you guys like it.. I think for some of us we don't just do repaints for ourselves, but for others as well..

I'd have used one of the domes from the Bismarck:

It's the thingie with the two cutouts on either side. The old Kitech 30cm model kit of the Bismarck is super cheap and has four of them.

Still, I love the paint job!
