Beyond the Rim - The hole in the Astrogation rules

By mcv, in Game Masters

Maybe we as a community could build a list of pre made incidents to slot in when needed? Things like arriving too near a planetary body or star's gravity well, being in an asteroid field, having something blow on the ship and need repair before jump, suffer an interdiction from empire, suffer an interdiction from pirates, trigger an interdiction from obligation related parties, overshoot into unknown space and have a pre prepped thing in place for them to make some credits at the navigational cartographers group, whatever they are called, for new map data. Maybe a new planet prepped to support it.

We could even have all of those and more on a chart and roll, to keep the GM wondering too!

Here's a quick D20 chart I put together to get across what I was saying. If we have some of those things prepped to go, we can always launch one suddenly. For example, one community member has the excellent adventure that starts with an imperial interdiction. Bendu's Shadow / Stalitz Flight. That module could just get inserted from a astrogation mishap.
