Is there a connector I need to purchase to connect the Shapeways ships to the FFG stands?

For those of you who design these I'd especially appreciate your feedback.

I ask because the most recent ones I purchased didn't seem to have ANY mounting holes at all.

I just use small magnets.. you should be able to get them at your local game or hobby shop..

When I take a official mini and modify it with a magnet, I mout it to the original piece that I removed from it and then leave that on the peg in the stand... so when you mount a magnet on your shapeways mini you can just use that as well and not have to modify the flight pegs for use.. very simple, just make sure you get them as flat and level as you can..

I had never thought of that for these. we use sheet magnets for 15mm bronze age gaming where we needed olarge groups of warriors standing in formation but i can see a lot of advantages to doing fighters etc this way

It's easy and convenient. I've done in with the Wings of War/Glory WWI planes as well.. works like a charm.

The 2 I got from your shapeways page are in process, and already have them on.. though I may take them off and drill into them a little to countersink the magnets, Which I have been doing on many of the official minis that i have remounted.

Cut off the top, which is made to fit into Micromachine ships. Then glue them to whatever you want to fit on an ffg stand.

They work perfectly for my prints. Painting some Defenders today and glued two of these bases this morning!
